Welcome to Xperience!

Xperience! offers two programs; Technology and Japanese

Xperience! is a technology program designed especially for middle schoolers. We teach them time management and collaboration, and offer a safe and social learning-centered environment and hands-on interactive experience in technology.

We call ourselves a technology program because our projects involve the use of computers, cameras, printers and scanners, and we integrate the arts using photographs and calligraphy with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Microsoft WORD.

Students learn time management through deadline based projects rewarded with incentive points earned individually and in groups. Students are welcomed to do homework as needed.

Calligraphy workshop - October 2010

Xperience! welcomed Reverend Masato Kawahatsu for a series of three calligraphy lessons in the month of October.

Reverend Kawahatsu is a senior minister with the Konko Churches of Northern California and a well respected teacher of Shodo Calligraphy. In addition, the Reverend is a master of Shin Shin Gakudo Budo martial arts, and the founder of the “Thank You Movement” who’s philosophy is to say “thank you” a thousand times a day in the hope that you have little time left in the day to complain about life.

Reverend Kawahatsu’s calligraphy lessons marks the launch of our annual student card project. The students use their newly learned skills in art, technology and marketing to produce greeting cards for sale to their friends and family. See the "2010 Calligraphy Cards Collection by X! Students".
